Heat pumps as a heating system

All articles
Heat pumps are becoming increasingly popular on the market. They're economical to run, highly efficient, and come in a wide range of types. Here's how a heat pump works: the refrigerant either releases or absorbs thermal energy — a similar principle to how a refrigerator works, which is why its back panel feels warm. For heating, a heat pump works as follows: in the evaporator, the incoming refrigerant is cooled by a few degrees; it then enters the compressor, which compresses and heats the refrigerant; the heated gas passes into the heat exchange chamber, where it releases its heat; the refrigerant then returns to the start of the cycle. This method of heating has many advantages: cost-effectiveness, automation, the ability to install it in almost any location, safety, ease of use, and many more. One of the best heat pumps on the market is considered to be the Daikin Altherma 3.
