Heating calculator: choosing a system and estimating your savings
Find out which heating solution suits your home or flat in Estonia, and how much you could save — in euros, in just a couple of minutes.
Choosing a heating system on your own is hard: gas, electricity and equipment prices keep changing, and every home has its own insulation and floor area to account for. The Gerold CO2 heating calculator answers the key question in 4 short steps: which solution — heat pump, gas boiler, infrared or solar heating — suits your property, and how much it will cost to run compared with what you have now.
The heating cost estimate is shown straight away in euros — with an approximate annual cost, potential savings, and a monthly payment if you finance the equipment through the ESTO instalment plan. This isn't a substitute for an engineer's consultation, but a quick, convenient starting point you can already take with you when requesting an exact quote.

More about this solutionGas heating
Convenient and cost-effective!
Today, the most convenient heating solution is a reliable gas heating system. Gas offers significant advantages over other energy sources. Gas heating systems are more environmentally friendly, and their maintenance costs are 30–40% lower than those of electric and oil-fired heating systems.
More about this solutionHeat pumps
A heat pump helps you save!
Heat pumps help you save money by drawing on energy from the ground, groundwater and air as a heat source. Heat pumps capture thermal energy and channel it efficiently into heating and hot water. At the same time, around 25% electricity input is enough to produce 100% of the useful heat output.

The most practical solution in the world!
Infrared heating solutions are considered the most practical, economical and long-lasting solutions in the world. This type of heating system is so efficient that it achieves 96% efficiency. Infrared heating can be used as either a primary or a supplementary heat source.

The calculator provides an approximate estimate based on average heating costs in Estonia, the size of your property, and its level of insulation. It's a good first budget benchmark, but we calculate the exact cost and savings for your specific property after a free consultation and, if needed, a site visit by our specialist.
A heat pump is generally cheaper to run: around 25% of the electricity input is enough to produce 100% of the useful heat output, which makes it especially worthwhile when switching from direct electric heating. Gas heating, in turn, requires a smaller upfront investment and remains a convenient solution where a gas connection is already in place. The calculator takes both factors into account — your current heating type and your priority — and recommends the option that fits your situation.
Yes, we work with the ESTO instalment plan — you can spread the cost of a boiler, heat pump or other equipment over several months without having to pay the full amount upfront. Details are available on the ESTO instalment plan page.
We've installed thousands of heating systems in flats and apartment associations, office and warehouse buildings, not just private houses. The calculator includes separate options for flats, apartment associations and commercial properties — the recommendation takes this into account.
Go through the calculator with approximate figures — even without exact numbers, you'll get a reasonable starting point. Afterwards, send us a request via the "Get an exact quote" button: our specialist will clarify the details, visit your property if needed, and prepare a final quote free of charge.
